The Art of Storytelling in Proposals & Grants
with Patrick Evans, Family Builders
Whether you are preparing a nonprofit grant, responding to a corporate request for proposal, or even just pitching an idea to your boss, stories are a powerful way to communicate.
Learn more about finding and crafting stories in the process of preparing winning grants and proposals for nonprofit and corporate audiences from Patrick Evans, Director of Mission Advancement for Family Builders.
Patrick Evans has an extensive background in nonprofit development, including development and major gifts positions at the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma, World Neighbors and the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum. He became the Director of Mission Advancement at Family Builders in early 2017, where he helps families break the cycle of abuse. Patrick has seen firsthand what it takes to stop the cycle of abuse, as his father grew up in a physically and emotionally abusive home and struggled to overcome the patterns he learned as a child. With the help of counseling and group support programs similar to what Family Builders offers, Patrick and his family were able to break the cycle and make a positive difference for the next generation.
