From the Public to Politics: Polling in Preparation for the Oklahoma State Legislative Session
with Bill Shapard, SoonerPoll

SoonerPoll, which has conducted a quarterly poll every quarter since 2010, is used by businesses, interest groups and state associations to gauge public opinion regarding their legislative objectives before each session begins, and having the public on your side as you enter the legislative session can be extremely advantageous. Learn how the voice of the public can be effectively used to engage legislators and the media alike and contribute to a successful legislative strategy.

ShapardResearch has conducted quantitative studies in every state in the continental United States and has worked for some of the nation's largest companies, such as U.S. Foodservice, Post Foods, RedBox, and Cox Communications.  We have also worked for some of the state's largest companies, such as BancFirst, Sonic Drive-In, Public Service of Oklahoma (PSO), AdvancePierre Foods, Devon Energy, Chesapeake Energy, XTO Energy, and GlobalHealth.

SoonerPoll, which is a brand of ShapardResearch, is Oklahoma's only independent, non-partisan pollster, conducting and producing more publicly released polling on the opinions of Oklahomans than all other polling firms in the state combined. Last Fall, Nate Silver's 538 ranked SoonerPoll best pollster in the state of Oklahoma and 30th in the nation, placing it in the top 10 percent of the best polling firms in the nation.  SoonerPoll has been the pollster of record for the state's second largest newspaper, The Tulsa World, since 2005 and routinely performs polling for News 9 and News on 6, the state's most watched television news in both Oklahoma City and Tulsa.
